In the spirit of hospitality, developing and nurturing relationships is vital to our business growth. Our industry presents numerous events throughout the year, providing fantastic opportunities for engagement and connection.
This past summer, Elise Capital was active at significant events, including the ALIS Summer Update and the NABHOOD Conference in July. These gatherings allowed us to share insights, discuss trends, and connect with influential partners.
As we transitioned into August and September, we participated in the Hospitality Hued Summit and the Congressional Black Caucus Hotel Ownership Seminar. These events further emphasized our commitment to fostering relationships and making a meaningful impact on the industry.
We believe that every connection made strengthens our community and enhances our collective growth. We look forward to continuing these conversations and exploring new opportunities together!
Closing the Wealth Gap: A Path to Economic Growth
According to the Black Womenomics report by Goldman Sachs, Black women face a staggering 90% wealth gap. Closing this gap is crucial, not only for the empowerment of Black women but for overall societal growth. Addressing these economic disparities could lead to the creation of 1.2 to 1.7 million jobs across the U.S. and an increase in annual GDP by 1.4 to 2.1%, translating to a remarkable $300 to $450 billion boost.
We at Elise Capital are proud to announce our acceptance into this year's cohort of Goldman Sachs' One Million Black Women initiative for small businesses. The orientation for this transformative 12-week program kicked off at Goldman Sachs headquarters, marking a significant step forward for our mission.
In addition, our Founder and CEO had the honor of ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, a moment that symbolizes our commitment to making a meaningful impact in the industry. As we approach the end of our fourth year, we are excited for the growth and opportunities that lie ahead.
